Toddler Program 12 Months - 3 Years
We have designed our toddler room to be inviting, warm, and to feel like an extension of home.
Children are surrounded with beautiful materials, which offer a variety of intellectual and creative stimulation. These age appropriate materials are available for children to engage with individually or with friends. Each child is given nurturing guidance so their specific needs are met.
Our teachers give caring attention to each student and each day is filled with loving care. Our special program includes story time, art, puppets, outdoor play, exercise and music. Students will rest their bodies and minds with a nap in the afternoon.
The focus of our toddler classroom is based on the Montessori philosophy of providing an environment that is orderly and the children feel safe and secure. Our toddler program provides children with a stimulating environment to develop socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally, while promoting grace and courtesy. Toddlers are introduced to the Montessori Method and are given lessons in practical life, sensorial, simple math, and language development.
Toddlers need a place where they can move freely with purpose, and an environment rich in language experiences. This environment encourages children to be independent. Teachers in the classroom use quiet voices when talking to children and each other. The teachers model moving carefully through the environment, in a non-hurried or rushed manner.
