Job Responsibilities for an Assistant Lead Teacher:


-Working with children between the ages of 2 through 5 years old as an assistant to the Lead Teacher

-Help prepare the classroom environment and create curriculum based on child-led interests

-Patiently and lovingly guiding the children through the day

-Have the ability to manage a class on your own within ratio in the absence of the Lead Teacher

-Cleaning, organizing, disinfecting, diapering, preparing snack among other responsibilities

-Passionate about developing a child's brain through their early childhood years

-Work well with other teachers to create a team environment

-Build relationships with families in a professional manner representative of the school

-Promote social, emotional, independence, fine and gross, language skills

-Take annual professional development courses for licensing purposes

-Be guided by all staff to learn and grow in this position

-Is an apt listener and is able to learn quickly and follow instructions

-Has initiative and curiosity to see life through a child's eyes

-Is reliable, committed, energetic, patient, and detail oriented

-Has a desire to learn and improve their craft through free education offered

-Be qualified or willing to through Colorado Shines 3.0

-Has experience working in a preschool/elementary school setting

-Finds pride in working as a team

-Adaptable with grace to changes that may occur in the day

-Be professional and courteous to other staff and families

Pay starts at:  $16.75-$23.00 depending on qualifications/experience.  Shifts can vary between 7:45 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.
